Chief of Security
Security is a section of deck three which houses a number of different areas related to the ships security forces. Its primary function is to hold prisoners and interrogations and also is a staging area for most security members. It has one of two armories on the SEV Torch.
The brig is majority of security, it is where all prisoners are housed and most security operations take place. There is a waiting area and a front desk for visitors. Prisoners enter through the double-airlocks and are brought to the interrogation and processing room. Once they are searched and interrogated, they are either sentenced or released. If sentenced, they may then be put into either a timed or permanent holding cell.
The Forensics Office is where the forensic technician does most of their work. It houses specialized equipment to examine and inspect evidence. Only the head of security and the forensic technician have access. There are numerous computers and office equipment so the technician can write reports and findings. It consists of two forensic machines and two computers for forensic analysis. It directly connects to the evidence storage so that evidence may be stored or retrieved at anytime.
All evidence gathered from investigations, any contraband and illegal items are stored here. There is a hand-labeler and file cabinet for auditing the bay. It is directly connected to the Forensics Office so the forensics technician may retrieve items quickly.
Interrogation and Processing
The processing room is the first place prisoners go after being detained. This is where they are stripped of any items, interrogated and recorded. Inside the processing room, there is a security records terminal to enter their information. The processing room is also used for regular interrogations, such as questioning suspects.
This is the security locker room where members of security come to arm up and prepare for the shift. It houses only basic security equipment and personal security lockers. It also has numerous rechargers so security can refill their energy weapons and taser guns.
The security armory is the second armory on the ship, this one handles mostly non-lethal weapons - usually for security forces to deal with higher alert levels. The Security armory contains energy pistols, stun rifles, ion rifles, ballistic and ablative Armour, flares, a maintenance jack as well as less lethal grenades and a grenade launcher.
Brig Officer's Office
The Brig Officer's Office is the location where they manage prisoners, give out weapons to security and handle any visitors. It has a full view of security from the holding cells to the interrogation room. It includes flash and lockdown buttons for unruly prisoners.
The holding cells are where prisoners are put for the duration of their sentence. There are two temporary cells and one permanent one.
The two temporary cells are designed to hold criminals that have committed minor crimes - such as vandalism, alcoholism and petty assault. They have only basic facilities, since the prisoner will generally only be there for a few minutes to hours. All cells are mounted with flashes, which blind the prisoner, so that they may be further processed by security if necessary. The cells are fairly secure, with the windows being electrified.
The permanent cell is designed to hold any multitude of prisoners, it has much more complex facilities and even entertainment to keep prisoners in check - the only area not visible by the outside is the bathroom facilities.
A publicly accessible area for anybody to come and practice shooting. It has two practice rifles in a crate, rechargers, and moving targets.
